CHOKER CARE
HOW DO I CLEAN MY VINYL CHOKERS?
Vinyl is a shiny plastic and can wiped clean with a dry or lightly damp cloth but please avoid using chemicals or submerging in water. You may notice a residue on your pieces after a long wear and this is normal. Remember to clean after every wear to prolong its fantastic shiny look.
WHAT IF MY STRAP IS TOO LONG?
When wearing your choker, you might find your strap sticks out at the back of your neck. If you think this looks a little unsightly, then here’s our favourite trick!
After securing your buckle in a hole that feels comfortable, tuck the long end back through the d-ring to keep it looking tidy.
You can also give the end of your piece a chop with some sturdy scissors but keep in mind this alteration will be permanent.
HOW DO I KEEP MY JEWELLERY SAFE?
Vinyl becomes soft when heat is applied so try to keep hairdryers, strightners, candles etc. away from your chokers to avoid damage.
We can all be a little clumsy at times but, if possible, try your best not to drop your pieces as they are prone to scratches or paint chipping. We like to think these add to their character but damages can sometimes be hard to fix.
TOP TIPS
- They might be called chokers, but that doesn’t mean they need to be worn tight around your neck. Our pieces look just as good worn loose!
- Extra holes can be added to your vinyl straps if needed. We recommend a rotary punch or hole punch found at any hobby store.
- If you want to up your accessory game, try layering your chokers. We love to see you mixing and matching different styles.
We’re sure you don’t need to be told this but here’s a little reminder: Please don’t let children wear any of our spiky chokers without supervision or put them on any pets.
As cute as that sounds, we are not responsible for any poked eyes or chewed chokers!
